What is the SLT?

The Servant Leadership Team (SLT) serves the ministry functions of the church. Operating under the authority of the board of elders, the SLT develops and implements policy for the effective spiritual and temporal ministry of the church, reflecting the "5 purposes" of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism.

What is the Purpose of SLT?

The SLT is designed  to manage MCC ministries in a SHAPE based methodology while allowing for a broader level of church leadership.  Each ministry area has a leader or leaders that take authority and responsibility for the ministries within their area.

What is a SHAPE Based Ministry?

S H A P E is an acrostic used to show the 5 ways a person is uniquely created by God.  

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do" 

Ephesians 2:10

SHAPE means:

• Spiritual Gifts
• Heart -- what we love to do
• Abilities -- what we are good at
• Personality -- what type of person we are
• Experiences -- what we have been through

Our SHAPE determines our ministry.  Everyone involved in a ministry is a minister.  Anyone can lead from anywhere.
